were introduced today in the legislature that are of interest.
1) Smoking in a nonsmoking hotel room
penalty increased, and civil and criminal penalties imposed. (Bill
proposed by Kahn)
2) Smoking ban exception removed relating to patients in
a locked psychiatric unit. (Bill Proposed by Huntley)
3) Raise liquor taxes in Duluth (Bill proposed by
Huntley)
We do have support for getting a bill introduced for some type of
amendments for the smoking ban. Please e-mail your senator and
representative about the smoking ban. Let them know "nicely" how it has
affected you. This is very important...we need to let them know.
